Central Alberta Freestyle Ski Club
Central Alberta Freestyle Ski Club (CAFSC) is made up of dedicated parents, certified coaches, athletes and volunteers.
We share a passion for skiing and for the pursuit of skill development and personal growth. In our community focused club, we create a full inclusive, athlete focused environment for young athletes to learn and develop.
Our programs include Fundamentalz for ages six to 12, Freestylerz for ages eight and up, and, new in 2022, the Competition Development Team for ages 12 and up, subject to the athlete’s ski ability.
Throughout the programs, athletes progress from learning fundamental freestyle skiing skills to mogul, big air and slope style skills, allowing them to compete at the club and provincial level.
Year-round training is available, and depending on the ages and program levels of athletes, they may participate in winter hill skiing at Canyon Ski Resort, with off-season training at the Three Mile Bend water ramps and trampoline facility. For athletes who are ready for competitions, there are club competitions at various sites in Alberta and Saskatchewan and provincial level comps for more experienced athletes.
